Home destroyed north of Arthur

A house north of Arthur has been destroyed by fire.
Wellington County OPP say the blaze broke out just before 9 last night on Highway 6.
Police say, while the residents were not home at the time of the fire, several pets perished in the blaze.
The cause remains under investigation and police say the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified.
