Former councillor passes away

Former Waterloo City and Regional councillor Mike Connelly has passed away.

Connelly died yesterday morning at the age of 80.

Connolly, who was born in England and moved to Canada in 1986, served 11 years on local municipal councils.

Connelly is resting at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on King Street South in Waterloo.

Visitation is tomorrow and Wednesday at the funeral home and funeral services are Thursday morning at 10:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Lourdes Street in Waterloo.
