Oktoberfest Closing

The 43rd annual K-W Oktoberfest draws to a close today.

By all accounts, it’s been a highly successful year for the popular Bavarian festival.

The first weekend and the first few days of this past week saw, in some cases, record crowds flowing into local festhalls.

The popular parade, food drive and Oktoberfest breakfast also drew huge crowds.

Greater K-W Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ian McLean says over the festival’s 43 years it’s generated some one billion dollars for the Region.
