The Ontario Hockey League has suspended Saginaw Spirit Left Winger Josh Shalla ten games for his hit on Kitchener Rangers forward Matia Marcantuoni in Friday’s night game.
Marcantuoni has not played since taking that hit.
Shalla was assessed a 5 minute major and game misconduct for checking to the head.
The OHL says Shalla left his feet to deliver the hit and he made contact with Marcantuoni’s head.
