Murph still with Canes

Ryan Murphy is still with the Carolina Hurricanes.
The 18-year-old Kitchener Rangers product was listed on the roster, which the Canes trimmed down to 23 on Wednesday afternoon.
Murphy tells 570 News he still hasn’t heard yet if he will play in Friday’s season opener versus the Tampa Bay Lightning.
“I’m just taking it day by day as any young player should do when they are at a pro camp.” Murphy said.
Murphy was taken 12th overall by the Canes in June’s NHL Entry Draft.
Meantime, Julian Melchiori and Cody Sol are both returning to the Kitchener Rangers from the AHL’s IceCaps.
Both attended Winnipeg’s camp.
