Canadians seem unfazed by Research in Motion’s challenging year.
In fact, a survey by recruitment firm Randstad Canada found two thirds of respondents who had heard of RIM would like to work there.
Randstad Canada’s managing director, Jan Hein Bax tells the Toronto Star, while the survey was conducted earlier this year, the news headlines didn’t seem to have much of an impact saying “If you are an employer with a strong brand, that attractiveness can outlive short-term blips as long as you’re consistent with your manner, your message, and your image in the market. In the fight for talent, this is hugely important.”

The survey also asked respondents what they value most in an employer.
Number one was atmosphere, followed by high salary, job security, good work-life balance and interesting job content.
Rounding out the top five of most attractive employers were IBM Canada, McGill University, Air Canada and Bombardier.
