There are only 7 teams in the NFL off to a 2-0 start after yesterday’s games. Among them; the Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions.
We start with the Sunday night game where Matt Ryan threw a career-high four touchdown passes and the Atlanta Falcons rallied to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 35-31 after Michael Vick was knocked out with an injury late in the third quarter Sunday night. Ryan hit Tony Gonzalez with a pair of TDs, the tight end going past Terrell Owens for fifth on the NFL’s career receiving list. Then, Ryan hooked up with Ovie Mughelli on a one-yarder that brought Atlanta to 31-28 with just over 6 minutes remaining.
The Falcons (1-1) completed the comeback with Michael Turner breaking off a 61-yard run, then powering over from the three with 3:24 remaining. Vick left with a neck injury after getting spun by a Falcons rusher into a Philadelphia blocker.

At Orchard Park, New York, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a six-yard T-D pass to David Nelson with 14 seconds left to cap a wild back-and-forth fourth quarter as the Buffalo Bills topped Oakland 38-35.

Tom Brady threw for 423 yards six days after setting a single-game team record of 517 in leading New England past San Diego 35-21. Brady had three touchdown passes and tied for the third most yards passing in club history, going 31-of-40 with no interceptions as the Patriots scored on each of their four first-half possessions.
At San Francisco, playing with a fractured rib, Tony Romo hit Jesse Holley on a 77-yard completion in overtime to set up Dan Bailey’s winning 19-yard field goal as Dallas beat the 49ers 27-24. Bailey kicked a tying 48-yard field goal as time expired in regulation after missing an early 21-yard attempt. Romo completed 5-of-6 passes on the tying drive, connecting on consecutive throws to Holley before finding him again in O-T.
At Charlotte, North Carolina, Aaron Rodgers threw for 308 yards and two scores as Green Bay defeated the Panthers 30-23. The Packers withstood another 400-yard passing day from Carolina rookie Cam Newton. A week after throwing for 422 yards, Newton topped himself by throwing for 432 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for a four-yard touchdown with 37 seconds left to bring Carolina within seven, but the Packers recovered the onside kick to seal the victory.
At Indianapolis, Peyton Hillis ran for 94 yards and two touchdowns as Cleveland sent the Peyton Manning-less Colts to an oh-and-2 start with a 27-19 victory.
At New Orleans, Drew Brees threw for three touchdowns and New Orleans’ defence beat up on Jay Cutler as the Saints beat the Chicago Bears 30-13.
At Landover, Maryland, Graham Gano kicked a 34-yard field goal with 1:45 remaining as Washington rallied from an eight-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat Arizona 22-21.
At Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 298 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers put their opening week loss to Baltimore behind them with a 24-nothing shutout of Seattle.
At Nashville, Matt Hasselbeck threw for 358 yards and a touchdown as Tennessee surprised Baltimore 26-13.
At Minneapolis, LeGarrette Blount’s four-yard touchdown run with 31 seconds left was the difference as Tampa Bay came back from a 17-nothing deficit to beat Minnesota 24-20.
At Detroit, Matthew Stafford threw two of his four T-D passes to Calvin Johnson as the Lions came away with its largest margin of victory in a regular season game by routing Kansas City 48-3.
At East Rutherford, New Jersey, Mark Sanchez threw two T-D passes as the New York Jets routed Jacksonville 32-3.
At Miami, Andre Johnson caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Matt Schaub that helped Houston get off to a 2-and-oh start with a 23-13 win over the Dolphins.
At Denver, Kyle Orton threw two T-D passes to Eric Decker as the Broncos got past Cincinnati 24-22.
