Kitchener pharmacy robbed

One man is in custody, after a Kitchener pharmacy was robbed on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on King Street West around 3:30.

Police say he was armed with a hammer and fled with some pills.

Police say an arrest was later made a short time later in the stairwell of a nearby residence.

A 51-year-old Kitchener man faces several charges including robbery and possession of a weapon.
