GRCA cleaning up local trail

Crews from the Grand River Conservation Authority are out along the Cambridge-Paris Rail Trail cleaning up after yesterday’s violent storm.

GRCA Communications Coordinator Cam Linwood tells 570 News, although the trail is not closed, they are strongly urging people to stay away off for now.

There were a number of larger trees that were taken down between Cambridge and Glen Morris. Some of those trees were a little larger than ones you can push to the side so we’ve had to go in with chain saws to cut them out,” Linwood says.

The GRCA hopes to have the trail groomed and ready to go for the weekend.
