Funnel clouds spotted over Waterloo Region

Environment Canada has confirmed that several funnel clouds were seen around Waterloo Region last night.
They appeared at around 7:30.
A severe weather specialist with Environment Canada says while the clouds “are very photogenic,” they did not pose any threat.
Some people got quite a sight, including Anthony, a resident of Kitchener who spotted some of the funnels. He said, “We were at the Queensmount Park soccer field and we looked up to the sky and we could see what looked like a funnel cloud, so I took my Blackberry out and I took a couple of pictures.”
