Police defuse a dangerous situation

The Regional Police Emergency Response Unit was called out to the Brierdale Road area of Cambridge last night after receiving reports of a man armed with a knife.
That’s in the Franklin/Champlain area.
Police say there were indications the man was threatening to harm himself.
Police managed to defuse the situation with no injuries and a 23-year-old Cambridge man was taken to hospital for observation.
