It’s going to be another hot and humid day…perfect for taking the kids to the beach…but on your way..if you stop somewhere to grab refreshments and snacks…take the kids in the store with you and don’t leave them in the car unattended.
This reminder comes from the chair of www.kidsandcars.org John McKiggan who was on 570’s Gary Doyle show recently and says children are much more susceptible to heatstroke.
He says they want to make sure parents don’t forget about the kids in the backseat.
McKiggan says a sunny 25 degree day would feel closer to 125 degrees in a car with the windows rolled up after just 5 minutes – that’s hot enough to boil water.
