Body found in Kitchener

Regional Police made a grim discovery this morning that brought homicide detectives to the Westmount and Highland area of Kitchener.
In the early morning hours, emergency crews responded to an apartment in a high rise building at 10 Overlea Drive in Kitchener, only to discover an adult female, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem is happening today in Hamilton to determine cause of death, but Police spokesperson, Olaf Heinzel, has no estimate on how long those results will take.
An adult Kitchener male has been taken into custody, but has not been charged with anything.
Heinzel could not elaborate on the relationship between that male and the deceased woman. Neither could he comment on where or how he was arrested.
Police remain on scene and were at one point searching through the building’s recycling and garbage bins.
