Provincial police say a 51-year-old Burlington, Ont., man’s passenger was a doll _ literally.
Officers got a tip this morning that a man was driving alone in a carpool lane with a mannequin in the passenger’s seat.
Officers quickly located the black SUV on the eastbound Queen Elizabeth Way near Dorval Drive in Oakville.
The driver was alone, but accompanied by an inflatable mannequin dressed as a female passenger with jacket and cap. The mannequin was seized and will be cooling her heels in the evidence locker, while the jacket and cap were returned to the driver.
The man is charged with two offences relating to the improper use of the high occupancy vehicle lanes.
