Drug recall

Store brands of children’s acetaminophen sold at Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart are being pulled off store shelves, due to reports the child resistant packaging is faulty.

Health Canada warns some of the caps may not lock properly and could open even in the locked position, posing a risk to children.

The Tanta Pharmaceuticals products are sold under the “Teddy’s Choice” brand at Loblaws, and “Life” brand at Shoppers Drug Mart, but may also be found in other stores.

The recall includes all 160-milligram packages of junior strength acetaminophen tablets and 80-milligram packs of children’s strength acetaminophen tablets.
