Wall of Hope march

A march and rally are planned this afternoon in Uptown Waterloo to draw attention to Lyme Disease.

Organizers say it can be contracted simply through the bite of an infected tick.
They say it’s becoming an increasing problem, with an estimated 300,000 new cases every year – something the U-S Centres for Disease Control calls an epidemic.

The Lyme Disease Wall of Hope march and rally takes place at the Uptown Waterloo Square Rotunda between 4 and 5:30 this afternoon.

Those attending are encouraged were lyme green.
