Betty Albrecht laid to rest

A funeral was held Sunday for Betty Albrecht, the wife of Kitchener-Conestoga MP Harold Albrecht.
She is being remembered as a kind, caring and generous person and quiet supporter of her husband’s political career.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper was among the hundreds gathered at Kitchener’s Community Christian Reformed Church for the service. On Parliament Hill, Harper said Albrecht was an like a mom who would frequently appear in his office to make sure staffers had eaten breakfast.
59 year old Albrecht was the mother of three adult children.
She collapsed on election night from a brain hemorrhage and never regained consciousness.
