Missing couple update: woman found

NEVADA (NEWS1130) – Rita Chretien, who along with her husband Albert went missing while travelling to the States back in March, has been found alive in Nevada. The Penticton couple were last seen in a surveillance video in Baker City, Oregon.
RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says hunters found their vehicle on a logging road in a remote area. Rita was with the vehicle. She was airlifted to hospital. Her condition is not known, although Moskaluk says she was able to communicate with the people who found her, and she has been in contact with her BC family.
According to Moskaluk, Chretien says she survived on water these past seven weeks.
Her husband walked away from the vehicle on foot in March 20, and he hasn’t been seen since. A ground search is now underway to locate him.
