With the arrival of the 2011 Canadian Federal Election, our country will once again go to the polls to choose the leadership that will govern Canada for the near future. With so much riding on the decision, 570 News is well aware of how important “information” is when it comes to you making an informed decision on May 2nd.
With that in mind, 570 News and www.570news.com will continue to be the best sources in the Region for all things election – both locally and nationally.
Once again, 570 News and Rogers TV are teaming up to bring you coverage of a series of debates leading up to the May 2nd election. We are also involved with the debates being held by the K-W Chamber of Commerce as well. Please browse the list of debate dates and times below as well as details of our coverage plans.
Monday April 18, 2011 – K-W Chamber of Commerce debate for Kitchener-Conestoga Riding.

Thursday April 21st, 2011 – Rogers TV Debate for Kitchener-Conestoga Riding (7:00 to 9:00pm). It will be simulcast live on 570 News and Rogers TV.
Thursday April 21st, 2011 – K-W Chamber of Commerce debate Kitchener Centre Riding.

Thursday April 28th, 2011 – Rogers TV Debate for Kitchener-Waterloo Riding (7:00 to 9:00pm). It will be simulcast on 570 News and Rogers TV.
As for election night, 570 News along with Rogers TV will have full coverage of all the local races and reaction to the polls from the key players as they come in. While the local results will be of utmost importance, so too will the national results – and we will have those for you as they come in as well.

Also, in an effort to provide as many voters as possible with the information they need about federal elections, Elections Canada has put together a voter information guide and a document concerning voter identification at the polls. Naturally, 570 News has been covering the upcoming Federal Election since it was announced and that has included a number of different interviews and/or appearances by the leaders.
