Conservative Leader Stephen Harper will be at Bingemans in Kitchener this afternoon for a rally beginning at 6:00pm.
It will mark the Prime Minister’s first campaign stop in Waterloo Region as he will meet with local Conservative candidates and supporters at a rally.

However, this morning he will be in Mississauga where he will release the Conservative party’s campaign platform.
That briefing is set for 8:00am at the Mississauga Convention Centre. Harper then has a couple of other campaign events before he arrives in Waterloo Region.
Tory officials say there are five main priorities — job creation, help for seniors, cutting the deficit, new crime laws, and investment in the north.
Pundits say much of the Tory platform was contained in the budget that was tabled March 22nd.
Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff took a shot at Prime Minister Harper for claiming a change in government would be bad for the economy.
Ignatieff says when Harper talks about political instability triggered by the three opposition parties, he’s really talking about democracy.
Ignatieff starts today in Hamilton then moves on to Toronto and Markham.
N-D-P Leader Jack Layton pledged to cut down on gang violence by making gang recruitment illegal.
Layton also vowed to hire an extra 25-hundred police officers. He remains on the west coast today.
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May is on whistle-stop train tour of Toronto, Oshawa, Cobourg, Belleville, Napanee, Kingston, Brockville and Cornwall.
