Prime Minister Harper is making another far-reaching campaign promise.
After promising tax cuts for parents to start in about 2015, Harper is now promising to double the amount you can put into a Tax-Free Savings Account to $10,000 a year. But it won’t be until the budget is balanced.
Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff is in Quebec, where he’s promising to improve the pension system.
NDP Leader Jack Layton is promising to add another 2,500 front-line police officers across Canada and double funding for programs designed to keep children from joining gangs.
Green leader Elizabeth May has unveiled her party’s platform, outlining three major themes: a smart economy, strong communities and true democracy. May made the announcement in Toronto.
