Man charged with sexual assault in Guelph

Guelph Police have arrested a 41-year-old male on a pair of charges.

It’s after a 21-year-old female told police the man picked her up in the downtown area and drove to a parking lot where she was sexually assaulted and held against her will until she managed to escape.

The suspect is charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement.

Investigators believe the accused is also responsible for another sexual assault on November 1st, 2009.
