Streak for a good cause

You may witness some streaking at Fairview Park Mall on Saturday.
But unlike the typical type of streaking, this activity won’t be an alarming sight. Instead, participants and volunteers will sport a red clip-in streak of hair to promote awareness for Multiple Sclerosis and the upcoming K-W MS Walk on Sunday, April 17.
The reason the clip-in hair streaks are red is that is the colour of the MS society of Canada, says Stacy Medley, Sr. Coordinator of Fundraising Events.
“It’s a way for participants and those who are touched by MS, to make their mark against MS,” says Medley.
For a minimum donation of $5, at the Community Kiosk in the mall, participants will receive the fashionable hair piece. The streaks can be purchased between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The MS Society hopes the event will generate questions and build awareness toward the disease.
