Industrial Accident in Kitchener

There has been a serious industrial accident in Kitchener.

Regional Police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel tells 570 News a man was rushed to Grand River Hospital this morning after a report that a large piece of concrete fell on him. The extent of the injuries isn’t known at this time.

Heinzel says the man had been working at a construction site on Belmont Avenue, between Gage and Glasgow when the accident occurred shortly after 10 o’clock.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
