Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is getting a boost from the province.
It’s one of four local festivals and events in the Region that will receive funding through the Celebrate Ontario program.
Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Leeanna Pendergast was on hand for this morning’s announcement and says the money will help pay for LCD/LED lighting, along with improved festival administration.

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest – $399,800
Kitchener Blues festival – $43,750
Waterloo Air Show – $75,000
Perimeter Institute – $40,000
