A Cambridge hospital is showing a financial turnaround.
The Record reports that the Cambridge Memorial Hospital is forecasting a $1.4-million surplus this fiscal year.
However, hospital president Patrick Gaskin also has a warning, saying all hospitals face financial challenges and those challenges are not going away anytime soon.
CMH managed to get its books in order following a couple of years of economic turmoil through an aggressive restructuring which included the elimination of 85 positions, most of those through retirements and leaving vacancies unfilled.
