The annual battle between winter and spring intensifies as we head into the weekend.
This morning, 570 News weather specialist John Wilson is calling for a quick hit of snow that may also include some freezing drizzle or ice pellets.
Tomorrow, however, the weather is less certain.
John says a system could completely miss us or give us a dumping of snow.
He says part of the problem is the system has not even formed yet and also there’s a fine line where north of it there will be little in the way of snow and to south up to 10 centimetres of snow could fall.
Adding to the uncertainty is the fact that Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of Southern Ontario.
The statement covers a stretch from Windsor, to London, through Niagara, into Toronto and on to Kingston and Cornwall.
Environment Canada says there will be patchy precipitation in southwestern Ontario and Niagara region overnight and into the morning.
Snow is expected but there is a risk of freezing rain south of a line from Goderich to Toronto.
