Last hurdle for DALSA sale

Today marks the final hurdle to be cleared for the sale of Waterloo-based DALSA Corporation to California tech giant Teledyne Technologies.

Yesterday, DALSA shareholders voted more than 99 percent in favour of the sale, and today court approval of the transaction is expected.

If that happens, DALSA – a digital imaging and semiconductor company – will have a new owner as of tomorrow.

350 people work at the Waterloo facility, which Teledyne says it will continue to operate.

Canadian operations will be known as Teledyne DALSA.
