Coyote attacks dog

A Kitchener family’s dog is fighting for its life following an apparent coyote attack in the Doon area of the city.
Danielle Jaworski’s five-year-old Chihuahua “Stella” was attacked right outside her front door around 7-am this morning.
The coyote dropped the dog from its mouth after her husband screamed at it.
Jaworski tells 570 News “Stella” is currently undergoing emergency surgery.
She says “100 per cent it was a coyote”.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says if you encounter a coyote never turn your back or run away from it.
The MNR says you should back away from the coyote while remaining calm.
