Snow event in Kitchener continues

The snow stopped flying in Waterloo Region hours ago, but the cleanup continues.
You’ll still encounter slippery sections, even on the major routes and crews are just now tackling the side streets.
For that reason, a snow event remains in effect in Kitchener until midnight tonight.
That means no parking on any city streets today or face an 80-dollar fine and having your vehicle towed.
570 News weather specialist John Wilson says Kitchener registered 15 centimetres or 6 inches of snow.
London recorded 19 centimetres and, at the upper end, Hamilton got 28 centimetres or just a shade under a foot.
