Man charged in immigration fraud

A Brampton man is accused of ripping off a Kitchener man of almost $4,000.
Police launched an investigation back in November.
Investigators allege the suspect identified himself as an Immigration Officer with Canada Border Services Agency.
The victim forked over the money with the belief that he would be granted lawful status within Canada.
Peel Regional Police arrested a man at a residence in Brampton on Saturday.
Albino Irgolina is facing several charges including personating a peace officer and fraud under $5,000.
Police have determined that the suspect had sometimes identified himself using the alias name “Al GUILIANI”.
