Hospitals hitting targets

St. Mary’s Hospital is hitting its targets.

The province handed over a $36,000 cheque today to the Kitchener hospital
for treating more patients than last year within provincial targets.

At St. Mary’s, 84 per cent of patients are being seen within provincial targets while there has also been a two per cent reduction in the total time patients are spending in the ER since April 2008.

Grand River is getting over $17,000 through the Pay-for-Results program.
