Medals for local skaters

Competitors from the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club brought home medals from the Canadian Figure Skating Championships this weekend.

Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch became the new Canadian Pairs Champions in Saturday’s competition, and on Sunday, ice dancers Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje earned the silver medal.

Moscovitch and Poje are both from Waterloo.

Another KW Skating Club pair skaters team, Brittany Jones and Kurtis Gaskell, finished sixth.

And KW ice dancers Sarah Arnold and Justin Trojek also finished in sixth.
