Loose dog in Cambridge

Regional Police want people in Cambridge to be on their guard against a loose dog.
Police say a 120-pound female dog called “Penelope”, an Italian mastiff, got outside her Alison Avenue home during a break-in early Saturday morning.
Police don’t say the dog is dangerous, only that she is not accustomed to encountering strangers nor being outdoors.
Penelope is dark brown, with light brown lines, wearing a a pink studded leather collar with the owner’s name, address and phone number on a small tag.
Anyone who sees the dog should call police or Cambridge Animal Control.
