Kitchener declares snow event

This clean up is well underway across the Region after yesterday’s blast of winter.

In Kitchener, that means a snow event has been declared.

Parking is banned on all city streets in Kitchener today to allow crews to remove the snow.

If you leave you park on the road, you could be given an $80 ticket or have your vehicle towed.

As for how long the ban will last, the city’s Operations Manager Scott Berry tells 570 News, they generally last 24 hours.

The snow event officially took effect at 12:01 a.m. this morning.
