Swimplex closed in Waterloo

The city of Waterloo says the Swimplex will be closed indefinitely after a construction accident.
It happened last Thursday when crews were retrofitting lights at the facility.
The accident damaged a portion of the slide and pool.
Communications Director for the City of Waterloo Gary Williams says that the workers only suffered minor injuries.
Williams says that they will be assessing the pool today to see when they can re-open.
Crews were finishing work at the pool that work has been ongoing since the summer.
