Cambridge and Waterloo residents will be paying more for water and sewer services in the new year, and Kitchener may not be far behind.

This morning’s Record reports Waterloo City Council has voted to hike rates by 7.5 per cent in 2011, which works out to roughly $56 more for the average household.

Cambridge is boosting the rate by 8.9 per cent, or $69 more.

Kitchener City Council is expected to take up the issue in January.
