A 51-year-old man is dead following a single vehicle crash in Kitchener.

Regional Police say the man had a pre-existing medical condition and as he was travelling along Ottawa Street North yesterday morning his vehicle went out of control and struck a utility pole at Nyberg Street.

Police say the man later died in hospital.

No name has been released.
