Winter storm affects schools in Woodstock

The Public and Catholic schools are closed today in Woodstock, and points west, including the rest of Oxford County, London, Middlesex, and Elgin County, due to the winter storm.
Thames Valley District School Board spokesperson, Kate Young, says even thought the weather is clear and the roads are bare in Woodstock, they’re closing schools there to err on the side of caution.
That, after discussions with the school bus companies on the storm that covers most of the Boards whole area.
Young says it may be clear in Woodstock to get to school, but the storm could move in and make it dangerous getting home.
