About 50,000 Canadians have pledged their support for a National Work From Home Day.
A Workopolis employee blog started the movement and now an MP is getting behind it.
The Liberal Critic for Human Resources and Skills Development is looking at bringing a private members bill forward that calls for a designated day of the year during which employees would not have to go in to the office.
Michael Savage tells 570 News not only would working from home improve productivity and keep cars off the roads, it would allow people with disabilities to enter the workforce.
A recent Harris Decima poll found only 51 per cent of Canadians favour the idea.
But it has 50 thousand supporters on Facebook and now a voice on Parliament Hill.
Savage delivered a statement on Parliament Hill today, outlining his support for the movement.
