By-law officer assaulted

A Guelph man faces charges after a city by-law enforcement officer was assaulted last night.

Police say the officer had responded to a complaint of a noisy party at a residence on the west side of the city when one of the revellers allegedly grabbed the officer.

The officer was not hurt in the skirmish, which happened around 9:30.

A 21-year-old man is charged with assaulting a peace officer.
