Charges laid

A Woodstock woman faces a number of charges after a series of incidents in Cambridge over the weekend.

Regional Police allege the woman stole a mountain bike from a garage Saturday morning but ditched it when she found a parked car with the keys still in the ignition.

Police claim she then proceeded to drive at a high rate of speed and was involved in a grand total of three crashes with the joy ride eventually ending at Elliott and Albert Streets in Cambridge.

Police say the woman received minor injuries and damage to two vehicles as well as property was extensive.

A 30-year-old woman is charged with several criminal offences including break and enter, theft, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
