Waterloo man arrested

A Waterloo man, wanted in connection with a series of robberies in the region, has been arrested by police in Halifax.

31-year-old Phillip Jason Haskett had been the focus of a Canada-wide warrant after a number of convenience stores were held up.

Police say he was arrested on Friday and has since been returned to Waterloo Region.

Haskett will appear in court today facing seven counts of robbery as well as other charges.
