Former Kitchener Rangers goalie Steve Mason has signed a two year contract extension with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The $5.8 million deal will keep the 22 year old Oakville native under contract for the next three years.
The Calder Trophy winner as the NHL’s rookie of the year two seasons ago, Mason struggled during the 2009-10 campaign picking up just 20 wins.
