Lifeline for Gallery

Waterloo city council has given the Clay and Glass Gallery a 51 thousand dollar lifeline.
The vote was 6 to 2 in favour. Gallery staff and volunteers were at council last night to present their sustainability plan.
The money is on top of $75,000 in support that was offered up last winter.
Councillor, Mark Whaley was one of the two councillors who voted against the motion.
Whaley tells 570 News he feels the Clay and Glass Gallery has a sense of entitlement.
He says the former council agreed to give the gallery a rent-free 50 year lease which taxpayers are on the hook for until 2044.
Whaley says it remains to be seen if this gallery has a future in the city.
Councillor, Ian McLean also voted against giving the gallery the grant.
