Guelph Police have been cleared by the province’s Special Investigations Unit in a pursuit and crash back on July 2nd.
The driver of a stolen pickup truck managed to get out of a rolling blockade.
There was then a pursuit, with speeds reaching 100 km/h.
The suspect vehicle then left the roadway and traveled about 100 meters down an embankment in Silver Creek Park.
A 25 year old man was treated for a broken right ankle, bruised abdomen, and bruising and swelling on his forehead.
The SIU says there were no reasonable grounds to believe an officer with the Guelph Police Service committed a criminal offence.
