Ellen out as parade marshal

It looks like this year’s Oktoberfest Parade Marshal will not be Ellen DeGeneres.
The Facebook campaign began to bring Ellen to Waterloo Region, after a photo of last year’s parade made it onto her talk show.
A spokesperson for Ellen has said she won’t be able to fit the parade into her schedule.
Campaign organizer Linda Zavarella tells 570’s Gary Doyle Show she’s not giving up just yet.
Zavarella says she’s looking at other options, including asking her to send a video response.
