Changes at CMH

Governance of Cambridge Memorial Hospital is back in the hospital board’s hands.
Provincially-appointed Supervisor Murray Martin says his work is done and the hospital is now back on solid financial footing.

Martin was appointed this past September amid growing financial concerns at CMH.

A restructuring followed, including the dismissal of CEO Julia Dumanian.

Martin says “The hospital is back on its feet and the staff and leadership are to be commended for the tremendous work that has been accomplished.”

Martin expects his final report to the minister of health to approved and also expects the CMH redevelopment project to be high on the list of government priorities when that list is announced in September 2011.
