Local man needs urgent surgery

The Ontario NDP is making a poster-boy out of a local man and his urgent surgery needs.

Bob Brackenbury of Baden says he can not get his heart aneurysm surgery in Waterloo Region, and is still waiting to hear when his surgery will be scheduled in London.

NDP leader, Andrea Horwath brought up Brackenbury’s medical dilemma during the morning session of Question Period at Queen’s Park today.

Brackenbury’s vascular surgeon, Dr. Hamid Nasser, of Guelph, is out of the country and could not be immediately reached for comment.

Health Minister, Deb Matthews pledged to look into Brackenbury’s particular case.
