Boy drowns in backyard pool

Waterloo Regional Police have confirmed to 570 News that a boy just under 3 years old has drowned in a backyard pool in Kitchener.

Emergency crews were called to a residence on Pinehurst Crescent just after 2 o’clock this afternoon.

It’s expected a post-mortem will be conducted on Friday.
